Monarch River Academy-Yosemite Valley Charter

• All classes offered are listed on the Monarch River Academy and Yosemite Valley Charter parent portal.
  • Fees for each class will be listed under Session Fees.
  • Fees are only prorated by month, starting from the start date of the session.
• Check with the Break the Barriers front office for class availability before ordering a certificate.
• To submit an Enrichment Certificate;
  • Print out a copy of the Enrichment Certificate and submit it to Break the Barriers front office.
  • Email the certificate to charter@breakthebarriers.org and call the front office to confirm Break the Barriers received the certificate.
• New students, or students who have not taken classes within the last 2 years, will need to fill out a liability waiver.
• If a student will need an adult to assist them, the adult will also need to fill out a liability waivers
  • Child Liability Waiver (for students under 18yrs)
  • Adult Liability Waiver (for students 18yrs+)
• A doctor’s release may be required for students with specific physical or medical conditions.
  • Doctor’s Release for Child (for students under 18yrs)
  • Doctor’s Release for Adult (for students 18yrs+)
• Students can have a spot reserved for them for a $30 non-refundable fee without a certificate until the first day of class.
  • The appropriate liability waiver must be filled out before a spot can be reserved.
  • If Break the Barriers has not received an Enrichment Certificate by the first day of class, the spot will no longer be reserved.
  • If an Enrichment Certificate need to be revised, it must be revised before the first day of class to reserve the spot.

*PLEASE NOTE: Ordering an Enrichment Certificate does not automatically register your child(ren) for services. Students can only be registered when Break the Barriers has received both an Enrichment Certificate with correct information and a verbal confirmation from the parent or guardian.

All services are non-refundable and no credit can be given. For a list of class fees, please refer to your Parent Portal. All swimming classes are subject to a one time $35 registration fee per student. This registration fee is not covered by the enrichment certificates issued by Yosemite/Monarch Charter and is due on enrollment.

• Absolutely NO tummies showing (we suggest wearing a leotard or biketard underneath shorts and shirts)
• No low-cut shirts (front or back)
• No spaghetti straps (tank­-style shirts must have a minimum 1inch shoulder strap)
• All shorts must have at least a 6 inch inseam (no high cut bottoms or short shorts)
• No gum
• Sweatpants okay during winter months
• Must be barefoot or wearing a gymnastics shoe
• Long hair must be tied back

Students are grouped by age and gymnastics experience, not ability level. Those who quickly master their skills progress to the next level; whereas students who need more time or adaptive equipment, receive the necessary attention required to master their skills.

To ensure a successful experience for all students at Break the Barriers, a student may be transferred to a class that is more beneficial to them at the discretion of the Director.
